We Built What Should Have
Already Existed.
OPTA was founded in San Jose in 2023 after our founder watched his grandmother miss three consecutive dialysis sessions — not because of her health, but because of unreliable transportation. She was one of millions of Americans for whom the healthcare system works perfectly on paper and fails completely in practice.
The problem wasn't a lack of services. It was a lack of coordination. Transportation existed, but it was unreliable. Health workers existed, but they weren't connected to the transport team. Safety equipment existed, but nobody was checking if it was installed. Home support existed, but it was siloed from everything else.
OPTA is the answer to that fragmentation. We built a single platform — one team, one number, one account — that coordinates transportation, health navigation, safety response, home modifications, home support, and equipment. Not because it's a good business idea. Because it's what patients and families actually need.
We launched in San Jose. We're expanding across California. And we're building the infrastructure to become the national standard for patient logistics and senior support services.
What We Stand For
Four Principles We Don't Compromise On
Reliability is non-negotiable
A missed appointment is a medical event. We treat every trip, every response, and every visit with that gravity.
Dignity in every interaction
Our clients are not passengers or cases. They are people. Every OPTA team member is trained to lead with respect.
The whole person, not just the problem
Transportation is where we start. But we see the whole picture — health, safety, home, and community.
Accountability at every level
We measure what matters: on-time rates, response times, patient outcomes, and family satisfaction. Publicly.
